An authentic traditional British curry house in rural Norfolk. Don’t expect anything out of the ordinary on the menu here but do expect a stellar curry; no grease on the bhajis, tasty sauces, generous servings, a good drinks selection and all served very efficiently from friendly staff. We were just passing through (from London) and were really impressed. A full meal for two for sub 38. Brilliant

I order from these guys probably every Sunday, great food for not a bad price. Sometimes the source can come out a bit watery so I always ask for an extra thick. They also can be very tight with the amount of meat you get your meal, there have been times where I’ve only got five pieces of lamb in my meal and the rest were potato

Update Christmas Eve 2024 Back in Swaffham visiting family. Went to one of our favourite restaurants anywhere to get a takeaway. Very, very busy given it was Christmas Eve, but no problem , order taken and the customary Cobra and red wine whilst waiting. A perfect Eve of Christmas. Long may this restaurant prosper. It most certainly deserves to!!!! Update March 2024. Back in Swaffham visiting family, back at Indian Summer for takeaway. Usual Cobra and red wine whilst waiting (part of the delight of the Indian Summer and our reason for not ordering online or by 'phone). The usual superb customer service and of course the superb food. Maybe we should convince them to open a "satellite restaurant" where we live in the far north of Scotland, we certainly need it. Would happily award more than 5 stars in all respects. Update August 2023. Back visiting family and a trip to get our favourite takeaway. As usual a glass of Cobra and a glass of red wine whilst waiting. The manager and his staff are superb and have first rate customer service skills. You are made to feel to be THE most important people in the restaurant. Excellent food, excellent service, very good pricing and generous portions make a meal from Indian Summer most desirable. No hesitation in recommending FIVE STARS in EVERY respect. See you next time we are down here. Update February 2023. Back in Swaffham, first point of call, what has become a favourite restaurant for a takeaway. Customary glass of Cobra and red wine whilst waiting. Wonderful, friendly reception, excellent service, fabulous food. Truly a 5* establishment. Update December 2022. Back in the area again and headed to Indian Summer for a takeaway. Customary glass of Cobra and red wine whilst waiting. Excellent service and food. A great restaurant. Update June 2022. Back in the area - went for a take away. Order placed, shown to a table to enjoy a superb pint of Cobra and a glass (large) of red wine to await our order. Made to feel that we were the most important customers in the restaurant. FIVE STAR SERVICE and when we got back to our relatives a FIVE STAR range of Indian dishes. Absolutely wonderful , how I wish we had a restaurant of this quality where we live in the far north of Scotland. Original comment 2021. A wonderful evening enjoying the excellent food and excellent service. All in all, superb. Would definitely recommend. Will certainly be making another reservation when next in the area.

This is our first time trying Indian Summer and we we're definitely impressed. Ordered a takeaway and didn't have to wait anywhere near as long for our food as I expected & this is on a friday evening! Had a 9 mile drive home but the food was still quite hot when we got there so only needed a couple of minutes in the microwave to get it hot enough again. The Staff we're friendly and helpfull & food itself was really nice and we'll certainly eat from there again would definitely recommend
